We are seeking a permanent part-time Registered Cardiac Nurse to join our East Melbourne Clinic

Position Title: Registered Nurse
Department: Cardiology 
Location:  East Melbourne
Reports to: Practice Manager and Cardiologist
Position: 1 x Casual,

Hours: Part-time position working Tuesday and Thursday, 9-4 pm (flexible)

The purpose of the role is to provide safe, high-quality client-centred care in our clinic. You'll be working within a team of highly experienced clinical reception staff, liaising with patients and the clinic team. 

We are looking for:
 

• A highly-skilled, passionate, and empathetic nurse able to learn and work across multiple roles within a cardiology practice

• Excellent clinical skills and ability to respond to patient questions, assess patients pre-consult with the cardiologist and follow up on patients post op.

• Experience with extensive cardiac Nursing

 

Your Responsibilities: 
 

• Providing high-quality and empathetic nursing care to patients in line with internal policies and procedures and best practices to ensure the best patient experience possible is achieved.

• Supporting the clinical team to provide a high level of patient care.

• Reflectively engage in continuous improvement and support the achievement of targets relating to patient care.

 

What we need:  
 

• Bachelor of Nursing degree 

• Current AHPRA registration

• Willingness to learn all aspects of the client's journey across admissions, surgery and recovery

• Minimum 2 years post-graduation experience in Cardiac Nursing

• Knowledge of National Accreditation Standards and ACORN standards 

• Understand the importance of quality processes

• Willingness to learn with a non-judgmental attitude

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to actively encourage a positive team culture, including the provision of excellent customer service

• Experience achieving high standards with a focus on continuous improvement

• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills

 

Employment Requirement:
 

• Provision of two professional referees,

• Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to commencement,

• Evidence of current COVID-19 vaccinations and declaration of full immunisation history,

• Evidence of current working rights in Australia.
